OUR VILLAGE BASED ON LIFE IN 1500 IN PORTUGAL

We want to live like people in Portugal lived being inspired by the holiness and sacredness of the spiritual life as practised in the Johannite communities in the past: John, the Baptist, Maria Magdalena, the first Christian Church, the Essenes, the Gospel of Thomas.

Out of the life of the Essenes:

On the age of 21 a member can receive an initiation with a mission task to fulfill in his life. "The initiated is required to take an oath to respect the Earth as a living, sacred, intelligent being in order to maintain contact with it, honor it and participate in its healthy evolution". He or she has to be in contact to the ground through their feet and sometimes with their whole body. Therefore the Essenes many times went barefoot.

The sacredness of Nature, the honoring of natural cycles, the thankfulness for day and night, Winter and Summer,  Springtime, Man and Woman, birth and death. All of this will have an important place within our new community/village and for this we want to learn and be inspired by the life of 1500 in Portugal and early Christians like the Essenes.

Our objective of this future orientated, sustainable and carbon low village in Portugal is to create a new community where people live in a new quality environment, new circumstances expressing the wish to stimulate sharing and caring behavior between humans and their relation to nature making the weakest chain to the most important and leading in all plans for the community and life with the slogan: Share, care and embrace finding new ways in wisdom and beauty. Our duty.

One of the mentioned wisdom analyses is that sustainability and green economy can be used for shaping new wealth, jobs and income. Besides that we have to develop decentralized energy production and distribution, different relationship on different levels of the community such as producer and customers, communal government and citizens, landowners and workers, house owners and renters, but also new forms of wages as payment for work, new community work, new contracts and responsibilities for the community and for it's members.

The community as a whole, as an entity plays an important, leading role in fulfilling the objective and should be seen as an experiment creating new developments and perspective for a better life in rural area's with a decreasing economy and social life expectation resulting in the moving out of young, talented and educated people. Our proposed new way of living knows many revolutionary solutions to be tried:

​

1. All buildings in the village are in ownership of the community

2. The community is owned by a foundation, having no surplus because all of the profit will be re-invest in the community or in special development funds

3. The foundation organizes the governing of the community and the fulfilling of it's objectives

4. The foundation organizes all life and necessary steps to build up community such as

- minimum amount of constructed houses and facilities
- construction of facilities such as schools, library, kanteen, restaurants, shops, central hall, church, farmland,greenhouses, spaces for small businesses such as manufacturing, foodproduction, services, etc.

- academy for new lifestyle based on 1500 life in Alburquerque doing historic research in cooperation with Lusofona University, Lisbon and working on implementation of it in architecture, culture, religion, courses personal development and community leadership, etc.

5. Members of the community pay at the beginning 10.000 euro contribution and sign agreement of working for the community for 5 years, 24 hours a week (have to find the right balance in the rules and contracts. Principle is the same that we look for generating differently workforces and production within the community)

6. The community has it's own solar power plant which produces free electricity for the whole community and it's members but can also deliver to electricitry company for the national grid. Because the low price to be received for delivered energy and also because the aim is to stimulate decentralized energy production the solar power plant should be developed in the direction of a cooperation finding out the possibilities of delivering also cheap energy to Alburquerque and surrounding neighboring cities

7. Members of the community will get after payment of 10.000 euro and signing contract for 5 year work for the community , 24 hours a week 

- free house, electricity, food and education

8. All the work in the community will be organized in this way. Only there where no member can be found external workforces will be attracted or in those circumstances that the market of the produced goods is bigger then the community and starting up of new company is feasible the workrelation between company owner and worker(s) will be different. These exceptions of the rule have to be discussed and find the right way to act upon.

9. The community stimulates education in new tools and production, new innovation and markets. Therefore consultants will help with advice and cheap buildings will be offered.

10. As first start we aim on 400/500 houses with a growth in 2 years to 1000 houses. The first 50 houses will be build with external workforce and companies in the latest sustainbility and Gnostic knowledge making use of the 1200 geometric knowledge about architecture and construction. After that the aim is to build and construct with own workers.
11. Different expressions and faith, analysis of the history, plans for a healthy life can be found in our community. Biodynamic farming, food production, Waldorfschool education for our children, Portugal as First Templar Nation, Jesus on Reincarnation and Cathars & Bogomils the True Christians are expressions of Wisdom searching for the deeper truth of life, to find a short cut to realization for Humanity, we as indivudual.

12. The village can be developed together with the first buildings on the land such as holiday suites, promotion center for future life and sustainbility with the potential to grow into a Biosphere Resort, Eden project and Asia/China/the World promotioncenter.
